Efficiency Enterprises
Inc. started April 1, 1978 as a Full Maintenance Truck Leasing Company
for Charmer Industries. Charmer’s, at that time, was one of the largest
liquor distribution companies in the New York Metro area, and has been
in business since 1933.
The goal was to reduce the cost of operations for Charmer’s and at the
same time start another profit center. Charmer’s was a customer of Ryder
Truck Rental then, and felt that it could be better served by forming
its own transportation group. Hence, Efficiency Enterprises, Inc.
As Charmer’s grew into today as the Charmer –Sunbelt Group, the second
largest liquor distributor in the USA, so did Efficiency. Efficiency is
located in three states, New York, Maryland and Florida. With Florida
being our largest operation.
Joseph Martarella Sr., (President/CEO) who started Efficiency for
Charmer, and was the District Manager for Ryder Truck Rental prior, has
refined Efficiency’s operations to the goals that Charmer had for seen.
Since 1978 Joe has oversaw the growth of Efficiency by establishing new
locations in the states Efficiency now does business in. Over the time
we at Efficiency have become very proficient in Preventative Maintenance
and repairs of Medium and Heavy Duty Trucks. It is this skill and
knowledge that we now wish to pass on to the Trucking Industry.
We at Efficiency have learned to reduce operating costs, which in turn
gives way to more up time and less down time. It is this skill and
knowledge that we now want to share with the public.
